Congrats on your lil one. Being a parent is one of the most betafiuul experiences but yes, for some mothers it comes at the sacrifice of weight gain and as in your case some complications (cesarean).As my wife gave birth to our boy over a year and managed to lose most if not all the weight, I can shed some tips and advice on the subject:If you are cleared by your doctor to do mild exercises, I would start by just walking, fast walking or even a slight job.Avoid exercises that may lead to you injuring the wound like biking (risk of falling etc)A PT would be ok but again you can't really push yourself yet. Hence getting a PT may be an overkill.Mild yoga or even swimming would be good ti rest your resistance and ability to stretch from the incision/wounded area. Dont overdo it as the last thing you want is to overstretch and tear the stitches.Exercises with your baby (you can google it) are great as well but again, go at your own pace and listen to your body.As you start slow over the first couple of weeks and dont feel any pain, slowly increase the pace and intensity.Losing 10kg a month is not impossible but I would rather have you start with say 1kg per week, 4-5 per month and build your progress from there.Dont get too caught up in time , make sure you are continuously losing weight. No point in losing it all in a month, only to regain it later.With or without specialized exercise, you should be able to lose weight by 1) taking care of your calorie intake and 2) breastfeeding of course.Hope this helps. +5Was this answer helpful?
